MAKING TIME FOR YOUR HEALTH

MAKING TIME FOR YOUR HEALTH

If you are reading this you might struggle with feeling like you are too busy to exercise or prioritize your health. In this post I will give you some tips to find time to take care of yourself no matter how busy you are. First off WHY do you want to improve your health? Do you want to feel better?  Be able to chase your kids around or simply change your appearance?  Write that reason down on paper and make it noticeable in your daily life. Personally focusing on appearance is where I tend to struggle, I never feel good when that’s what I put my main focus on. If you can focus on just being heathy and active not only the outside will change but the inside as well. Mindset is HUGE when it comes to your health it does take some discipline especially when the motivation fails you just have to DO IT.

Here are some steps to good health that help me even with a busy schedule:

  1. Buy foods that are EASY to take with you. I personally hate meal prepping because the same food over and over grosses me out. So I buy tuna packs, greek yogurt, smart balance snack packs, hard boiled eggs, wheat bread, instant rice, Tyson grillers and steamed broccoli These foods are SO easy for me to take with me and my toddler enjoys them.
  2. Use a food tracker such as myfitnesspal when you are starting out. You truly don’t know how much or how little you are eating and how each one can affect your health. I will make a future blog on macro-nutrients and go into depth about how this can hinder weight loss or weight gain.
  3. FIND TIME TO MOVE YOUR BODY. Seriously, I don’t care if its 60 minutes or 5. JUST MOVE. I try to make a point to move around even if it’s just cleaning the house!
  4. YOUTUBE VIDEOS. Now that I have a toddler I only make it to the gym 3 days per week so the other days I find POPSUGAR fitness videos to be the most fun and quick 30-45 minute workouts.
  5. Practice breathing, YES I SAID BREATHING. Breathing correctly has helped my core/pelvic floor health on so many levels! I did Hannah bowers core guide and still incorporate that but if you don’t want to spend the money on a guide you can get on youtube and search the proper breathing techniques. It takes time to retrain your body to breath the right way so be patient!

These 5 tips are something I use on a weekly basis to help me stay on track with my health and keep my mind clear to take care of a toddler all while enjoying life! Thank you so much for being here and taking the time to read my health tips.

XOXO

Nichole
